The halmeoni (grandmas) at Cho Dang Gol are sweet and attentive. We ordered so many items and they were all delicious however my favorites were the tteokbokki, seafood pancake, kimchi tofu soup. My friends and our kiddos enjoyed dinner and will definitely return.

We came to this Korean restaurant around 9pm last night. The food was pretty good, and overall it’s a nice spot. I’d recommend checking it out

The food was delicious—especially the rice. Be sure to ask for tea after your meal so you can enjoy the scorched rice tea (it’s a nice touch!). Spicy Raw Crab – 3/5: The flavor was yummy, though the crab pieces were on the smaller side and clearly frozen. No roe, unfortunately. Seafood Pancake – 5/5: Crispy, flavorful, and packed with seafood. Oyster Tofu Soup – 5/5: Comforting and well-balanced with plenty of oysters. LA Galbi – 5/5: So flavorful and perfectly grilled. Pork Bulgogi – 3/5: Tasty with rice but a bit too oily for our taste. We also loved the variety of banchan (side dishes) and appreciated the complimentary Yakult drinks at the end. We’ll definitely be back for more!

초당골 are in NY or Torrance only and I'm glad that it's here in Katy out of all places Tofu stew, esp seafood tofu soup, is the best in all of the Greater Houston area. Better than Tofu Village. We went to try it on two separate occasions and it tasted as 순두부 찌개 should be. I'd suggest the combo if you would like to eat it with extra protein. When you get the stew, crack open the egg right away. Swerve the rest around so the egg will cook in the stone pot. My husband tried the bulgogi stone pot bibimbap, loved it, and ate all of it both times. You can get plain water or barley tea which is also a korean choice of water that provides vitamin B6 among others, you can chose to have it hot or cold ᅳ it isn't extra. As you can see here, the bottom of the rice get stuck. You may chose to pour a little bit of barley tea in there and scrape them off like we did. Its even better for the bibimbaps :) During our first visit, there was only one lady working the entire floor and she was very thoughtful and kind. During our second visit, we went an hour before closing with different ladies and they were nice but not as warm as the lady who was here during our first visit. The silverware are stored inside the drawers of the tables and there should be a button to call for assistance if you need their attention. The restaurant is open and seat cushions. There are big flat screens that play diverse korean shows, the atmosphere helps you feel at home in shikdangs 식당 where they have a small TV playing a show while you eat on stainless steel furniture. But the restaurant furniture isn't stainless steel, its wood based like modern farmhouse like, with stainless steel appliances

A fantastic experience. Great food and services. I believe I found my new go-to Korean BBQ restaurant. There are plenty of options and a great selection of food. Can't wait to try all of the dishes! Quick note, utensils are in the drawer where the call button is.
